“Build Operate Transfer” or “BOT” is an arrangement model, which facilitates offshore presence of client swiftly. In this model, the client can start its offshore operations swiftly and then later on takeover the facility.
In this model, the client can set up a dedicated facility resulting in cost effective solutions. This model provides clients with complete control over the development and test teams at the offshore. During the engagement period, a dedicated infrastructure is provided for the client’s operations. Throughout the entire software development life cycle, the client’s practices and regulations are adhered to. The client is provided with regular status reports and metrics reports to enable timely intervention and better decision making. The partnership will be maintained as per the pre-defined and mutually agreed upon Service Level Agreements. These agreements are periodically reviewed and revised as per the demand of business requirements at that point.
This model is the exact replica of Dedicated Development Model with the only exception that a manager from the customer organization would be located at the offshore center. The presence of company manager provides an added level of confidence. At the same time the model takes full advantage of the offshore partner’s knowledge of local laws and agreements.
